We have anchored environmental protection in our company objectives. We implement this commitment in our own production processes through the careful use of raw material and energy, and, of course, through compliance with the valid environmental regulations. This commitment reflects in particular out target to develop products with our customers, which will lead to continuous savings through their use, e.g. through durability and engine efficiency. Progress based on tradition should also be an open path for our children.

REDUCTION OFCO2(e) EMISSIONS BY 25% UNTIL 2025

The management adopted a climate strategy at the end of last year as an important foundation for sustainable development. Like the sustainability directive, this applies to the entire SCHERDELGroup.

The goal of the climate strategy is to reduce 25% of CO2(e) emissions by 2025 (base year 2019).

In order to achieve this goal, 3 approaches are pursued:

Resources

Careful use of resources, because avoiding emissions is the best way. This includes optimizations in our production processes, use of waste heat and much more.

Own production

Own green power generation is massively expanded. You can already observe this at some locations where photovoltaic systems are being built.

Green Energy

Purchase of green electricity. The SCHERDELGroup also wants to contribute to the expansion of regenerative energy production on the market.

Compliance Communication System

PART OF OUR CORPORATE RESPONSIBILITY


A Compliance Communication System is used by our company to uncover attempted and completed violations of internal policies and laws at an early stage. Valuable information can be provided not only by employees, but also by business partners and third parties. With this in mind, we would be grateful if you would report any irregularities or infringements of the law to us. The tips received via the system go directly to our ombudsman, who treats them in strict confidence and in particular does not disclose the identity of the whistleblower without his or her express consent. Of course, the whistleblower system is anonymous, and providing your name is voluntary. Please only provide an e‑mail address if you wish to be informed of any action taken.
